And the earth was without form, and void

In this second verse of the Holy Scriptures, there has been a lot of speculation that has led to odd conclusions about what it represented in the words, which I believe has resulted in a wrong understanding and emphasis.

I'm referring to the assumption that God couldn't create something that was without form and void, so something had to have happened to it as a result. From there a number of scenarios have been created out of thin air, such as Satan destroyed the original creation, or there being a preAdamic mankind before this creation.

In other words, there are those that assert this wasn't really a creation, but a restoration. That is an incorrect conclusion, based upon the fact the Scriptures teach us in 1 Corinthians 15:45 that "The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit." There is no way to get around the 'first man Adam' phrase. It can't be confused or misinterpreted. Either Adam was the first man or mankind, and Jesus Christ the last Adam, or they weren't (Adam refers primarily to mankind).

The Adam of Genesis was representative of all mankind because he was the first man. Jesus Christ as the last Adam or mankind, is representative and first-born of a new mankind that will have no other after it. There can be no improvement upon Christ as the representative of the last mankind, thus his designation as being the last Adam.

Why this is important is it can distort the ways of God and miss some of the benefit of what He's revealing to us. For example, the idea that the earth was without form and void doesn't have to be taken as a negative because God wasn't through yet.

Even when we become born again and are considered perfect in Christ in the eyes of God the Father, that doesn't mean we aren't practically without form and void as measured by the person of Christ. For the rest of our lives God will work on conforming us practically to the actual person of Christ; we will eventually be like Him in His perfect manhood (not deity).

So when we look at the work of God, it isn't hard it all to understand God wasn't finished with His creation work yet, and that applies practically in our own lives in knowing when we are starting something, in the beginning there will be the reality of it being without form and void.

Once the invisible, eternal things were made into physical things, time was introduced with them, and from that point on things were done in an orderly fashion as we understand sequence, and that's why we see one day after another where God adds something to His creation.

A specific example would be when a baby comes into this world. Anyone having children will know what am empty slate an infant is, and other than its physical body, has little inside that is 'formed' yet. It takes a lifetime to grow up and be filled with different qualities.

We could apply this to any area of life we engage in. What marriage isn't somewhat chaotic in the beginning? A man and woman are just starting off (even if they've known one another for some time), and begin this new creative venture together from the beginning. That's simply the way of life.

You could add starting a business, education, becoming a Christian, or any other number of things that have a beginning.

One of the major lessons to learn is that we have to take things one step at a time in this world. Each practical step leads to another, and without each step being incorporated into who we are, we will always have this weak leg that can collapse at any time, like a table with a leg that wears out and topples over to one side.

This is one of the things that we miss when making the mistake of assuming God didn't create the earth in a formless, void less state. He was simply taking one step of time in the process, and was ready to take the next step because He couldn't ever start something and leave that way.

On the other side, many people have pursued these theories about many parts of creation, based upon believing God's had an original creation that had been destroyed, but was now bringing back to the state He wanted it to be.

People with agendas have at times reinforced this because they don't want to face the fact or creation, and would rather promote evolution as the means the world and everything else came into being. Even people naming the Lord have fallen into this lie.

Some people do this out of hatred for Christ and His people, and others do it to make a name for themselves because they won't be accepted and considered serious in their academic circles.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth

For many reasons and from many enemies and deceived people, the fact that Jesus Christ created the heaven and the earth has been brought into question in the minds of those who believe in Jesus Christ, or at least claim to.

If you're uncertain, you have to go nowhere other than to the first 10 words of the Bible (King James Version) to rid yourself of all doubt concerning the reality of God creating all things.

As the title of this post says: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." It's as clear as that. There is nothing that can be added or taken away from it. God created it.

Here's how Colossians 1:16, 17 says it:

16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Again, there is no ambiguity as to the fact that Jesus Christ created everything. The "all" in verse 16 confirms again there is nothing that was made that didn't come forth from the person of Jesus Christ.

In John 1 we have these words affirmed again. Here is how John declares and reveals it:

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Here we have same revelation that "all" things were made by Him, and reiterates the fact that there was absolutely nothing made. 

The reason people attempt to distort Christ as creator is it is an attempt to convince themselves and others there is no final judgement. If there is no creator, there is no one that will hold any of us accountable for our sins.

Paul dealt with this in the first chapter or Romans, saying this:

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

What the Holy Spirit reveals through Paul is that these people that assert these lie really know the world has been created by God, but the creation itself is a testimony against them.

It's the magnificence and awesomeness of creation that declares God, and those who say differently are considered to be without excuse because the invisible things of God are clearly revealed and seen in the creation.

Don't believe anyone that lies about evolution or the latest flavor of anti-creation assertions. The physical creation demands people acknowledge it came from the invisible and eternal God, and by extension to put their faith in Jesus Christ.

Everything that is (outside of evil and sin) were created by Jesus Christ. To deny that is to deny our creator. To deny our creator is to invite the wrath of God that comes on those who as an excuse live in ungodliness and unrighteous; not accepting the righteousness of Jesus Christ offered through His death and resurrection.

 

So-Called Scientists Missing a Few Links over Alleged Monkey Ancestor of Man

It seems the only way money-grubbing scientists are able to continue the hoax that there is a link between man and animals, is to shout it out in the media so people believe there is credibility to the claims, even though one hoax after another has been exposed as false through the years.

When you see this type of shout in the media concerning the latest assertion that the missing link is found the weakening theory of evolution, you know there's a motive behind it, other than the usual attempt to pretend there is no creation, because there's no God.

With the weak economy, and research funds drying up, we'll find out eventually that this is just a marketing scheme to attract more funds; otherwise scientists would have to go out and get real jobs.

You wait and see. This will prove false as anything else in the past, and scientists will take another blow against their growing lack of credibility.

There unwillingness to debate creationists contributes to their cowardly persona as well, as they refuse to go in front of the public and be demolished and proven to be the hucksters they really are.

Already other scientists are saying there are tons of questions about the assertions being made by those examining this thing, and there's no confirmation or proof whatsoever that it's even what they say it is, as far as the lemur/monkey mixture.

Others are trying hard to tone down the hype that this has been the nail in the coffin for Christians who believe that God created the world, as they know the blowback this time will be hard and swift, as the louder you shout and are heard, the longer people remember you assertions.

HeeHee. Too late. Jesus definitely has a sense of humor, and does catch man in what he thinks is his craftiness. We'll eventually find out the falsity of the missing link drama, and scientists will slither back to their caves and lick their wounds for a decade or more until they think the public is ready for another round of the latest false missing link.

Too bad "Ida," you're just another fossil laying underneath the earth. Too bad scientists, you're continually being exposed for being inept and the frauds you're increasingly becoming.

I vote to drop all funding of this nutty theory and its adherents. What a waste of money that could be used for purposes that really make a difference.

If you think that I'm just blowing in the wind about the money motivation behind this farce, just know that the 200th anniversary of the ultimate con, Darwin, is just around the corner. Oh, wait, maybe it's just some type of miracle.


In other news, bigfoot was again spotted by campers who unfortunately had their camera malfunction just at the time they were going to snap a shot at the legendary creature.

Many paleontologists are unconvinced. They point out that Hurum and Gingerich's analysis compared 30 traits in the new fossil with primitive and higher primates when standard practice is to analyze 200 to 400 traits and to include anthropoids from Egypt and the newer fossils of Eosimias from Asia, both of which were missing from the analysis in the paper. "There is no phylogenetic analysis to support the claims, and the data is cherry-picked," says paleontologist Richard Kay, also of Duke University. Callum Ross, a paleontologist at the University of Chicago in Illinois agrees: "Their claim that this specimen should be classified as haplorhine is unsupportable in light of modern methods of classification."

Adam and Eve
One important thing to consider when looking at the beginning of things, as far as creation goes, was the pinnacle of creation: man. So when we look at Adam and Eve at the beginning, we see the representatives of all of mankind.

What's important to know about them, before sin, is while they were made in the image of God, their makeup wasn't in the proper order yet. One thing had to be done before that would be accomplished.

Before we get into that, let's look at Adam and Eve first. At this point of their existence, they're unique to human history, there never will be two human beings like them again; but neither was there ever meant to be.

Adam and Eve were sinless, but incomplete. They were innocent, but not harmless. They had a future, but that future hadn't yet been decided yet. In other words, even though they were sinless, they hadn't taken action yet that would perpetuate that sinlessness and enter into intimate fellowship with God.

They had fellowship with Him, but it wasn't anywhere near to the closeness they could have; it was only an outward fellowship, even though they saw Him with their natural eyes and talked with Him.

Another thing to consider is they not only saw God, but they saw the heavenly realms themselves, as Eden was a place where Heaven and Earth met. They saw the angelic hosts, as well as everything that heaven was.

The problem for Adam and Eve was they hadn't internalized God yet, their spirits hadn't been made alive, and so at this point their soul was predominant, even though there was no sin in the world or in them. God had meant that our spirits would be the predominant feature of our makeup, with our souls submitted and listening to Christ within, while our bodies then responded to the practical outworking of that fellowship.

At this time Adam and Eve were sinless, but the proper order within man hadn't been established. Until that happened, they wouldn't be able to successfully respond to the things God had required or expected of them.

Why did God create mankind this way? Why didn't He create them with His life in them from the beginning? The answer is that the life they were to internalize wasn't created life, so creation was separate from it, and man had to willingly partake of that life and internalize it.

That life was eternal and had existed forever; with no beginning or end. It couldn't be part of creation because it was uncreated, had always been, and was eternal. That life was God Himself.

So while man was created originally in the image of God, the order of God could only happen when man participated in the inner life of God by internalizing that life. To do that, Adam and Eve had to eat of the tree of life. They never took that step. They chose another life instead.

Learning About Christ Through Creation

Everything created we see with our eyes has something invisible in Christ it represents. When we walk around the created world, we are in essence walking around a bunch of things that have significant meaning behind what they are.

All created things have something to show forth as to who the Father is in Jesus Christ.

Sometime when you're on a walk or just contemplating, think of the magnificent things around you; ask God to show you something of Himself within them.

I'm originally from northern Minnesota, and many of us love our trees up there. I think of the progression of the softness of wood in trees as something extraordinary from the Lord.

For example you have the softwood of the poplar, then you gradually get harder with the pine tree and then the birch. Then you can get into a little harder woods like maple, oak and ash.

All these woods are created by God and show us something of who he is.

You can see how He can deal with us in certain ways that can be soft, and then as we grow and learn Christ more, there may be times that are harder and more difficult for us, or when He seems hard toward us in things we may be doing that hinder our walk with Him.

Other times we may simply be assuming He's a certain way, and He's not thinking that toward us at all.

You can look at the softer wooded trees which are more flexible and easy to work with, but when you need to be heated by them, they're not as efficient.

There are times when God is more flexible with us, and other times when He's immovable, and expects us to conform to His image. Now I'm not saying He's not always working in us to conform us to His image, just that there's times he gives us more room and time to grow, and other times when it's here and now; and no foolishness.

The point is we are learn a ton of things from the creation around us, as it was based on something invisible in God that it based upon.

All we need to do is ask Him to reveal to us the tremendous secrets of Himself as revealed through creation. It can give you a different perspective on living in this visible world while we're on it, and teach an endless number of things about who Christ is.
