God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow ... And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Michele Bachmann Educates 'Occupy Wall Street'

Presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann attempted to educate so-called 'Occupy Wall Street' protesters, saying they need to point the blame at politicians where it belongs and not at the free market.

Bachmann stated: "For your sake and for your future, America - and Occupy Wall Street in particular - needs to wake up and stop blaming the free market, stop blaming capitalism, stop blaming job creators for the failures created by selfish politicians. The problem is politicians who wink at their political donors and through the force of law put their competitors out of business."

Bachmann also rightly called for all Americans to pay taxes, saying everyone should "be invested in the country." Approximately 46 percent of Americans get by with paying nothing.

There is no doubt the clueless "Occupy Wall Street" people need to do some studying into recent history, as it's the government and the Federal Reserve which has been the culprits and reason behind the economic challenges we face, not the free market; or at least what's left of it.

What should be being protested is big government, progressives (socialists), and out of control spending. They are the ones causing the unsustainable spending that is causing the pain the country is going through. Entitlement programs are by far the biggest costs in the country, with military spending coming next.

The fact that those in the protests not even being able to connect the dots to the government speaks to the mentality being employed by those taking time to even think through what it is they're exactly doing.

One good point is much of this is a contrived protest, as in some cases homeless people are even being paid to show up as protesters to give the alleged movement the appearance of larger numbers than are in fact really there to protest.

Too bad it appears the "professionals" have now taken over the people doing the protesting. It they hadn't, there could be some room for the Tea Party crowd and Occupy Wall Streeters to find some common ground; especially with the bail out of the giant bank by taxpayers, which most opposed.

But since it's being driven by those with socialist leanings, that has now gone by the wayside as a probability.

For Michele Bachmann, it's good to see someone stick to their guns on what they believe, and remain consistent in their core beliefs.

Michele Bachmann Talks "Limited Government"

At a gathering of students at Liberty University, Republican Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann talked to students about her personal faith and stand on political issues.

On limiting government, Bachmann stated, "I'd grown up in a very conservative background. I had never seen people spend money like this before, so I decided I could not hold back. I had to get involved."

She also zeroed in on government and our liberties, saying, "Probably the most egregious level of (government) taking our liberty is the issue of Obamacare. Obamacare is the first time in the history of our nation that we have taxpayer subsidized abortion."

In a recent poll by American Research Group, Inc., among "Likely Republican Caucus Goers" from Iowa, Bachmann stands at 15 percent.

Michelle Bachmann, Sheriff Joe and Illegal Immigration

Michelle Bachmann has been a consistent opponent of illegal immigration, and to that effect met with the legendary Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who has heroically battled the influx of illegals in attempts to stem the violence flowing into Arizona from drug cartels in Mexico.

Some people have attempted to make it look as if Arpaio is neglecting violent crimes in order to pursue the illegals, although the two go hand-in-hand; although obviously not all illegals from south of the border are involved in the drug cartels or are violent.

Bachmann said this on her consistent immigration stand:

“People have made it very clear to me that they do not want to see taxpayer-subsidized benefits go to illegal aliens.

“I think what sets me apart is, No. 1, that I have already proven myself to be a consistent champion in Washington, D.C. already fighting on these issues. I’m the person who fought ObamaCare. I was the person who introduced the full repeal of ObamaCare. We need someone who has stood squarely and strongly on that issue.

“When it comes to immigration, I’ve been a very consistent, strong, conservative voice on securing the border and fighting on immigration.”

As to her drop in the polls since the entry of Rick Perry into the race, Bachmann said, “That’s pretty typical when you have a new candidate come in, a change of the dynamic,” she said. “Certainly that happened four years ago. Fred Thompson came in, his polling was very high. The same with Rudy Giuliani. John McCain was way back in the pack.

“It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon. And I think with the debates, we’re continuing to see more and more of the layers peeling back, of who the candidates are, what they stand for.”

Bachmann Blasts Obama on Healthcare, Stimulus Spending and Debt

Michele Bachmann took aim at Barack Obama over his outrageous spending, health care, and enormous debt incurred under his short time of heading the country.

Reminding Tea Party supporters that one of the major foundations of the movement is limited government, she said at Orange County, “I know that we have everything we need to put this country back on strong financial footing. The No. 1 way to do it is have the federal government spend less money than what they bring in. That’s what the Tea Party stands for.”

While Bachmann has been pressured since Rick Perry entered the presidential race, she remains a strong voice in the party, and it has yet to be determined her role in 2012.

That's not to say she won't regain traction in the race once the new wears off Perry's run for the presidency, as it has happened in the past with other candidates.

It's a sound strategy to not only go on the offensive against her Republican rivals, but also against the clueless, floundering and hapless Obama, whose popularity is diminishing at a fast rate, as his own base and the overall country weary of his ineptness and unwillingness to hear their voices.

Michelle Bachmann on Obamacare and Crony Capitalism

Michelle Bachmann has been one of the few consistent lawmakers who has steadily opposed Obamacare.

Recently, Bachmann said this about this as it relates to crony capitalism, "Whether its Obamacare or whether its PerryCare, I oppose any governor or president who mandates a family's health care choices."

Bachmann went on to blast opponent Rick Perry for the connection between the rejected HPV vaccine and big drug companies.

She said, "We cannot forget that in the midst of this executive order there is a big drug company that made millions of dollars because of this mandate."

"The governor's former chief of staff was the chief lobbyist for this drug company. The drug company gave thousands of dollars in political donations to the governor, and this is just flat-out wrong."

Bachmann Says Obama's Job Plan Will Fail

Responding to the dismal approach by Barack Obama to create jobs, Michelle Bachmann said it is nothing but an continuation of "failed gimmicks."

Not only will it fail, in Bachmann's view, it'll make the U.S. economy even worse.

Bachmann rightly noted that Obama is "philosophically incapable of doing what needs to be done," and is "politically paralyzed."

As for the so-called job plan itself, all Obama had to offer was the tired old idea of spending on construction projects. That's another way of saying he's clueless, and will attempt to "create" jobs in a market with no real demand. In other words, he's about to waste about $447 billion in taxpayer money for nothing.

Now the idea of cutting taxes is actually a good one, but anything that is attempted without cutting spending is just taking the country closer to an economic precipice it will eventually fall off of.

Until we get enough representatives in Congress with the will to slash spending, we will continue on the road which leads to economic destruction.

Michelle Bachmann Talks Pro-Life Stance

Here's a video of Michelle Bachmann responding to a question about pro-life at the American Principles Project Palmetto Freedom Forum in Columbia, S.C.

When asked if she would choose a pro-life running mate for vice president, Bachmann answered in the affirmative.

Michelle Bachmann on Obamacare

The monstrous forcing of Obamacare upon the American people by Obama and the Democrats was a major impetus behind the spontaneous emergence of the Tea Party movement, and is a piece of legislation we can't forget about getting rid of even as we face many issues in the near future.

Michelle Bachmann says this on her Website about her plans for Obamacare.

On August 13th, a major battle in the effort to repeal Obamacare was won. A three-judge panel in the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta ruled the individual mandate within the health care overhaul to be unconstitutional. In their decision, the judges (two of whom were appointed by former President Bill Clinton) rejected the supposed constitutionality of the individual mandate, or the requirement that all Americans must purchase health insurance. The judges wrote in clear and powerful language that, “the government’s position amounts to an argument that the mere fact of an individual’s existence [means that] Congress may regulate them at every point of their life.”

The judges are correct. The individual mandate, the most obtrusive and foundational aspect of Obamacare, is an overwhelming regulation. It would force each of us to buy a federally-approved form of health insurance by 2014 or face a fine. According to Why ObamaCare is Wrong for America, the fine for not abiding by the individual mandate will be whichever is greater, either a flat dollar amount or up to 2.5% of your income. The inclusion of the individual mandate is undeniable evidence of the unchecked and unwanted regulatory powers embedded within Obamacare. But now, this ruling by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals clears the way for the case to be heard in the Supreme Court.

I am deeply encouraged by this development in the fight against Obamacare. At the very core of the ideals that make up this nation is the truth that our rights are God-given, and government should protect, rather than take away, our freedoms. Under Obamacare, the government has been given the power to punish any American for not buying something they do not want. This is not only unconstitutional, it is wrong.

This is why I am committed to do everything in my power to repeal Obamacare. In the past year, I sponsored H.R. 1286, the Healthcare Fiscal Accountability Act of 2011, an act that will allow the current Congress power to control the funding of Obamacare. It is my firm belief that Obamacare is one of the most invasive and destructive pieces of legislation in American history and must be defunded and repealed immediately.

We must hope and pray that this is indeed the case, and that this big government attempt to take over the best medical care in history and socialize it must be stopped and reversed.

Thankfully people like Michelle Bachmann are fighting on our behalf to make this a reality.

Michelle Bachmann on "No" Vote for Raising Debt Ceiling

While Michelle Bachmann and others have taken some heat for voting "No" on the debt ceiling, she and her colleagues were absolutely right to do so, and in fact, were sent the message by the Republican sweep that this was what the people wanted.

Many of those voted in as Tea Party candidates to shrink the size of government rejected the mandate and caved in to pressure, voting to raise the debt ceiling. Michelle Bachmann didn't, and explains her reason for not doing so.

Washington needs fundamental changes to the way it spends taxpayer dollars. Never has this kind of change been more urgent than now, when the federal government is running a deficit of $14.3 trillion. Right now, every household in America bears a burden of $130,000, and every individual owes $46,600.

Even with these incredible numbers, President Obama is still calling for an increase in the debt limit, which equates to more borrowing from our future generations.

Because I know that government spending is no different from spending by individuals, families, or businesses, I remained firmly opposed to raising the debt limit. No entity can borrow indefinitely, spending money it doesn’t have, without paying it back.

President Obama has also proposed raising taxes as a way around our debt crisis. But it is important to remember that tax hikes will only hurt America’s small businesses and stifle job creation. This is at a time when unemployment across the nation stands at an unacceptable 9.2 percent. More taxes give Washington more time to delay reform of its scores of wasteful programs and agencies.

It is an outrage that hardworking and responsible Americans are being shackled with the debts from bloated spending by our federal government. It is time for Washington to break the habit and get its fiscal house in order.

Bachmann was also on Hannity recently explaining her vote against raising the debt ceiling.

Michele Bachmann Working on Expanding Base

credit: (Justin Sullivan/Getty)

Republican presidential candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann has been feverishly working to expand her base, as she tackles issues outside of her social conservative record, which is known by most people.

Bachmann has been staunch in her economic stand for some time, something a lot of people may not know, but is also very easily followed from past comments.

This is why conservatives and others in the Tea Party movement support her so much.

With this election surely to be based primarily on the economy, Bachmann has a good record to work from, including her voting against raising the debt ceiling, which was a disaster, and one which many Republicans voted into office to resist, capitulated on. They will probably pay for that in the next election. Bachmann won't.

Bachmann noted, "You cannot spend more money than what you take in. It's a simple fact of life, right?"

Campaigning in South Carolina, Bachmann noted her beliefs and credentials: "Fiscal conservatives -- I'm one of those. National security conservatives -- I'm one of those. Social conservatives -- I'm one of those. And the tea party -- I'm one of those."

Some libertarians also support Bachmann, but others are furious over her voting for the Patriot Act under the Bush administration.

She concluded this weekend in a speech, "We are going to make the case that we're the unifying candidate who can beat Obama."

Bachmann is highly respected for her principled stand on issues, and for helping troubled children by taking in 23 foster children while raising five of her own, along with her husband.

Will EPA Rules Destroy Power Grid?

Michele Bachmann recently stated about the EPA if she is elected president, “I guarantee you the EPA will have doors locked and lights turned off, and they will only be about conservation,” over its atrocious attack upon the American people, proposing new rules that will result in the closure of many power plants run by coal.

According to industry groups Edison Electric Institute and the American Legislative Exchange Council, the rules will be the “EPA’s Regulatory Train Wreck.” They say it will cost as high as $129 billion to implement the rules, which would still result in approximately 20 percent of the power generated by coal to be lost. Coal accounts for 45 percent of the power in the United States, showing the dire circumstances we face from this socialist arm of the U.S. government.

House Republicans are the best bet to stop this attack, and they need to come together and completely stop this outrage from happening.

The EPA conjured up some unprovable statistics by saying an air-transport rule disallowing sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide would alone prevent 23,000 heart attacks and 21,000 cases of bronchitis, saving about 36,000 lives by 2014. They don't add how many deaths would result from power grid failures, which would expose babies and the elderly to inclement weather, as they are the most susceptible to temperature extremes.

The attack on humanity continues from the earth worshippers.

What is the Tea Party?

As with many seemingly surprising movements throughout history, the Tea Party is one that has its roots far back in time, and has emerged in response to the realization government is out of control, and its policies, along with those of the Federal Reserve, are leading us to destruction.

That destruction will be the inevitable result of those of liberals, or progressives, which is just another name for the socialists Americans and much of the former free world all opposed in the past.

So while the Tea Party appeared to explode out of nowhere, in reality it has been building up for years, and soared onto the public scene in light of the Obama Administration, emboldened by the Carte Blanche offered it by the press, brought past socialists policies to entire new levels, even taking the healthcare bill and ramming it down the throats of the majority of Americans who opposed it.

Obama didn't start the policies leading to the emergence of the Tea Party, but his arrogance and dictator-like actions brought what has been boiling under the surface for decades to the top.

Even though it's true the Tea Party has largely backed Republican candidates, it's not because they are necessarily apologists for the Republican Party, but rather it's because Democrats have refused to listen to and heed the underlying concerns of the Party.

As to the Tea Party, it's not a political party, but is identified as that from a reference to dissent long ago when Americans opposed taxation without representation from the British. It is in fact a loose conglomeration of locally focused people.

Along with the disastrous healthcare bill forced upon the people, other laws generating and producing the resultant political dissent included, the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

Some see the bailing out of the banks as the major catalyst which brought people to the streets. But the refusal of Obama and the Democrats, especially, to listen their voices, was also an important part of the political uprising.

Republicans in general don't get off the hook either, as 87 percent of those organizing local tea parties say they aren't satisfied with the mainstream leaders of the Party.

At this time the Tea Party is made up of libertarian and conservative people, with a strong emphasis on lowering taxes, slashing the national debt, cutting the federal budget and reducing government spending. All of this is under the auspices of adhering to the United States Constitution, and not, as Obama has contended, interpreting it as a "moving" document. In other words, making it say whatever you want it to say to justify your policies.

On the social side, supporters of the Tea Party, according to a University of Washington poll, are very conservative, with 88 percent approving of the law put into effect by Arizona, 82 percent opposing homosexual marriage, and another 52 percent saying homosexuals have far too much political power. Obama's policy with foreign countries is also opposed by 73 percent of those identifying with the Tea Party.

From these disparities, you can see the Tea Party, in fact, is made up of libertarians and conservatives.

Contrary to media reports, a sizable percentage of those supporting Tea Party principles aren't white, with 21 percent saying they're of another race. The idea it's also a bunch of older people isn't true either, as 60 percent say they're younger than 55, according to a Bloomberg National Poll of adults 18 and over. As for Christians, 44 percent identify themselves as being born again.

On the libertarian side, and for conservatives emphasizing fiscal responsibility and smaller government, Ron Paul is largely the figurehead of the movement. Michele Bachmann is another powerful force in the movement, embracing the social issues important to conservatives, something that has always been perceived as a weakness for Ron Paul. Bachmann struggles with her signing of the Patriot Act, something many in the Tea Party movement oppose, as it granted even more power to an already too powerful government.

Even so, when asked about who best represents the local Tea Party groups, 34 percent responded with "no one," suggesting the resistance to someone co-opting the movement with a personal or national agenda.

Others identified on the national level as having influence, along with Paul and Bachmann, are Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint and Glenn Beck, although as time goes on, it seems the latter three are diminishing in importance, rather than gaining strength among Tea Partiers.

Having said all this, it appears at this time there is no real leader of the Tea Party, and hopefully that will remain the case; at least on the national level. Even Ron Paul, who as far as fiscal issues and big government go, has always adhered to these beliefs, and with or without the Tea Party, will continue to, has offered advice for which direction the Tea Party should go on certain issues, but hasn't attempted to step in and lead it. And I don't think he could. Neither will Michelle Bachmann, or any other visible leader; now or in the future. If they are able to, the essence of the Tea Party will disappear, and it'll be relegated to an interesting side note in the march of history, but nothing that had sustainable impact. Hopefully that won't happen.

We'll talk a lot about and follow the Tea Party as the events of our day unfold. Those who are considered as having an impact, like some of those mentioned above, we'll look more closes at, but also, and more importantly, what is happening on the local and regional levels with the movement.
