Speaking at the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition event, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul talked of his personal faith and the limitations of government in regard to handling challenges going forward in America.
Being a pro life advocate, Paul talks on the right for babies to be born in order to have the opportunity to make choices, rather than the so-called right of women to choose if they will allow life to enter the world. After all, that's playing God, and the government has no place in it, and no law can legitimately empower people to stop life, whether it's on the books or not.
Paul also talked on outrageous government spending and the debt this generation is leaving the next generation with. It is impossible to continue on in this direction, as the debt already will not be able to be paid, yet politicians, for the sake of remaining in office, continue to spend far beyond the means of the country, even though that spending will cause America to collapse.
Citing the flip flop of President Obama on gay marriage, Paul rightly say it's ridiculous to abandon "6,000" years of marital tradition, as it's a major part of the glue that has held civilizations together.
Most important to me, was when Paul rightly noted the reality that government can't handle the problems the country faces, or I may add, the problems any country faces.
Government can't change the hearts of human beings, only Jesus Christ can. And no matter how many laws are placed on the books, even legitimate ones, it won't change the hearts of people.
So looking to government as a healer and savior is sinful, and we need to repent and turn again to Jesus Christ and His people as the source of healing, and of course Christ alone as Savior.
Near the end of his presentation, Paul says something very noteworthy in that he doesn't vote the way he does in order to be electable the following term. We desperately need politicians with this integrity and backbone so the country has a chance one the smoke clears.
I mean by that it's too late from a fiscal point of view, as there will be a day of reckoning for the wild spending and the government going beyond its God-given boundaries.
That and the growing antagonism, hatred, and persecution of Christians will result in America being brought to its knees before God almighty. It will happen, as government leaders in the country refuse to repent, and many who claim to be Christians continue to go to the government for their pet projects, as if Jesus needs government help for His purposes and sovereign rule.
Our help and resources are from heaven, and that's where we need to be looking to and relying on.
If Christ has truly called us to do something, we don't need government funding to do it.
As for Rand Paul, we need to pray for him and pray to Jesus Christ that more like him emerge if we want a chance to pick up the piece and forge something even greater than before for America.
Greater than before has nothing to do with bigger, but it has everything to do with character. America isn't to be the policeman of the world, but should be a shining example of the person of Christ.
Of course we must return to our spiritual roots and total submission to Jesus Christ in order for that to be the case. It begins with each of us individually, and then as we find one another, it will turn into a corporate endeavor if we are true to Christ.
But whether anyone else heeds the call to repent and turn fully again to Jesus Christ, I am going to respond in that manner, and already have. May we all do that, and by the way, I'm not primarily, or in any way, talking about politics now.
Things are far beyond the ability of secular government and political solutions; they always have been. We are to seek out the sovereign rule of Jesus Christ in our lives, and from there all the other things will be added to us. There is no other way.

God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow ... And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Senator Rand Paul lent a hand to Kentucky Senate President and Republican Gubernatorial Candidate David Williams Friday, who is behind sitting Governor and Obama supporter Steve Beshear.Paul said, "There isn't a chance in this election to vote for or against the president, but there is a chance to vote against his cheerleaders. So, I'm here today to wholeheartedly endorse the candidacy of David Williams and Richie Farmer."
Farmer is running for Lt. Governor.
Concerning their jobs plan, Williams said, "If this plan is enacted in Kentucky, Kentucky will be the best place in the United States of America to create and retain jobs. That's coming from Art Laffer who has created more jobs by his economic policies in cooperation with Ronald Reagan than anybody before or since."
"We're pro-life, we're pro-second amendment, we're pro-coal, we're pro-jobs, and we're anti-Barack Obama," added Farmer.
They would be an excellent choice for Kentucky, which needs to clean out the Democrat, liberal, socialist apparatus from government.

Obama has been ratcheting up the rhetoric in support of the so-called "Occupy Wall Street" crowd, which has Senator Rand Paul concerned could result in violence.
This is no doubt a move by Obama to distract many Americans away from the disaster and horrible President he is, as his leadership, or lack of it, has resulted in enormous, negative consequences for the country and most people living in it.
Bizarrely and dishonestly, Obama, whose campaign received large contributions and backing from Citigroup (NYSE:C), Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS), JP Morgan (NYSE:JPM) and Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS), is now trying to position himself as the man to bring the bankers back in line. It's laughable at best.
Obama going to bed with Wall Street is a major part of the problems we now face.
Rand Paul said, “As far as this Occupy Wall Street movement goes, you know I see it sort of like a Paris mob. I see the president’s rhetoric of envy inflaming the public.”
“I see this enflaming this Paris mob that I hope ultimately doesn’t result in lawlessness where they say ‘gosh those nice iPads through the window should be mine and why don’t I throw a brick through the window to get them because rich people don’t deserve to have them when I can’t have one."
As to the people in these protests without a purpose, Paul said this in relationship to their hypocritical and alleged opposition to business:
“They’re on their iPhone made by Apple incorporated, they’re wearing designer jeans their parents bought for them, that’s the kind of stuff I’m annoyed with when they say corporations are evil – corporations are businesses.”
Paul adds that he does agree with the apparent only real grievance stated by the protesters, and that is that taxpayers shouldn't be made to pay for the bailout of the bankers, something the Tea Party has already addressed and opposed.
As for Obama, he sees these demonstrators as potential allies, and is now attempting to support them in what appears to be a strategy to keep himself out of the limelight as his unpopularity grows.
These protests aren't really coherent, and the call by the demonstrators to raise taxes is nothing more than a talking point of Obama and the Democrats.
What Obama and the rest of the politicians need to do is cut spending and begin to limit the size and promises of government, as it isn't sustainable, as we are finding out before the eyes of the American people.

The outrageous forcing of the CSAPR cap and trade on responsible states which have no problems generating electricity for its people via coal, is being battled by Republican Senator Rand Paul, who introduced S.J. Res 27 in order to try to get rid of the EPA's implementation of the draconian rule.
Effectively, the strategy by the radical environmentalists and earth worshippers was to put the national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) into place, and then from there lay the foundation for CSAPR, which now uses that as an excuse to force it on other states in the name of the inability of neighboring states to maintain compliance with the laws because of "Cross-State" pollution.
Of course what that is is an outright attempt to slash alleged coal plant pollution in America, which would ultimately destroy its use in energy in America. The industry will continue to flourish though, as the global demand for inexpensive energy like coal is high.
As usual, the environment wacko, people haters are going to hurt people in America through their outrageous and ridiculous "green" energy projects, which can't even come close to providing America's energy needs, and if they are able to supplement it, are much higher in cost, hurting the most poor in the country.
Just look at California and its rolling blackouts to see how this attack on energy ends up affecting people.
With the election in 2012 almost assuredly to radically change the balance of power in America, we should be able to see this evil repelled soon afterwards.
To take out God-given energy source and not allow it to be used to help people is the typical practice of those who allegedly are concerned about clean air for people, but wouldn't mind them suffering, and in the case of the elderly and children, some dying from the lack of energy, in order to promote their true agenda, which is the worship of the planet above the concern for human beings.
Beyond that, it's also the workings of those wanting to put a one-world government in place to control the world.

Alan Krueger is nothing more than an extreme government interventionist, cut from the same cloth as those who have failed to correctly predict, diagnose, and manage our economic problem. During his tenure at the Treasury Department, Alan Krueger helped design the ‘Cash for Clunkers’ program and even supported a European style value-added tax that would raise prices on American families.
This repetition of bad economic decisions by the President and his advisers could be described as the epitome of insanity – doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result each time. Hasn’t the President realized we don’t need more big-government Keynesians in Washington saddling the American taxpayer with trillions in debt? The President’s economic policies have been an abysmal failure. His economic advisers have helped lead to these failures.
I have called for Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner to resign, and I am now calling on Alan Krueger to step down before he even begins his new role, before any more damage can be done to the American economy by this Administration.
Kreuger is so inept he has actually stated that raising the minimum wage doesn't decrease employment for young people and unskilled workers; a fact long ago proven to be the case.
It's great to have a Senator like Rand Paul who understands economics and the consequences of government interference in the market place.

Confirming he's a defender of the free and coal, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. blasted the Environmental Protection Agency over proposed rules which could devastate Kentucky and other states, as well as weaken the power grid in many areas of the country.
Paul said the EPA was an “out of control” bureaucracy that is waging a war the coal industry.
He said:
Coal is a vital sector of Kentucky’
s economy. More than 200,000 jobs in the commonwealth depend on it, including the jobs of about 18,000 coal miners. America’s coal miners produce the fuel for nearly half our nation’s electricity needs.
Yet, the out-of-control EPA has waged a war on coal and the families whose livelihoods depend upon it. Washington’s bureaucratic regulations and excessive taxation have sought to limit our energy choices and kill even more jobs during this recession.
As a defender of the free market and of coal, I will continue to fight back against the EPA and any other federal agency whose goal is to stifle coal production. I will continue to stand up for our miners in Washington as we continue to recognize the sacrifices they make to provide food for their families and energy for America.
Paul is absolutely correct, and we need to eliminate the EPA as an agency and slash the federal debt and federal spending levels, rather than attack productive and important industries like coal, which provide over 40 percent of America's electricity.
Picture the hell that will come if these new rules aren't rejected, and numerous places in the country experience man-made blackouts.
