It's unfortunate a tremendous opportunity has been missed, at least in the early stages, concerning the bold and righteous resistance of Kim Davis, the Kentucky magistrate, who refused to hand out marriage licenses in response to the Obergefell Supreme Court decision that allowed homosexuals to "marry."
The issue at hand is her attorneys decided to battle over "religious liberty," as the issue at hand. Instead, the battle needs to move to the authority of lesser-magistrates, who have the responsibility and right to make decisions based upon the constitution of the people they were voted in by, which in this case is Kentucky.
For that reason, magistrates across the state of Kentucky need to rise up and resist as she did, based upon their authority as an elected representative of the people.
Magistrates that need to embrace resistance include legislators, judges, district attorneys, clerks and sheriffs, among any other locally elected official.
One has to understand that Davis was sworn to uphold the Constitution of Kentucky. The Supreme Court has no basis upon which to declare the U.S. Constitution supports homosexual "marriage," as it is completely illegitimate. There is no such right in the Constitution, and magistrates have a responsibility to uphold the Constitutions of their respective states.
Taking into consideration her lawful authority as a Clerk, Davis and her legal team should switch strategies and focus on her legal authority.
Instead of religious liberty and individual conscience, they need to look to the authority she has as a Clerk in her local government.
If that happens, others will get the message this is about the abuse of Federal and Judicial power, where it was wrongly decided it was greater than the State Constitution of Kentucky. When other magistrates see that, they can, should, and in many cases, will rise up to resist the tyranny that the separation of powers was meant to hold in check.
In other words, this is a battle over jurisdictions, not over religious liberty or individual conscience. Davis is resisting because her beliefs and conscience giver here the courage to do so, not because they are offended.
With that as a battleground to fight over, many other magistrates will see that this is a battle between government jurisdictions, where some have engaged in tyranny and lies in order to pressure or force those opposed to obey.
This is where magistrates must draw the line and stand up for those that voted them in and the State Constitution they were sworn to uphold.

Even though Almighty God has declared homosexuality to be a serious sin, that apparently isn't enough for T.D. Jakes, who apparently has been seduced by the rainbow religion.
In a bizarre statement, Jakes said in an interview with the Huffington Post, that the issue of homosexuality is “complex.” I wonder how he came to the conclusion that God forbids it as complex? Everywhere in the Bible it is identified as sin, and people in the church are not allowed to participate in it, and neither of course are those in the world, who are called to repent from it.
Even more strange, instead of using the Scriptures that actually deal with homosexuality, he goes to the head covering verse. He said, “Paul spends a lot of time wrestling back and forth, trying to understand should a woman wear a head covering, should you cut your hair. I mean, they grappled back then and we’re grappling now because we’re humans and we are flawed and we’re not God.”

For some time I've watched as anti-biblical liberals attempt to infiltrate every area of life with their demonic ideology, and that is the case among Catholicism as well, where the liberal Pope is opening the door to all sorts of beliefs that had been resisted in the past, including the embracing of homosexuals, as evidenced by a recent document from the Vatican that said homosexuals had "gifts and qualities to offer."
Actually, no they don't. All they are is reckless and rebellious sinners that have attempted to sway people that the sin they participate in is a special sin that must be accepted by everyone, otherwise they're bigots and intolerant. So be it. I'm a bigot and intolerant, but I'm on the side of Jesus Christ, so nothing else matters to me.
Catholic conservatives were up in arms about what they call a betrayal of traditional family values. It is all of that and more. It's a complete rejection of the revelation and commands of God for His people. According to the Holy Scriptures, no one engaged in sexual sin is allowed to be part of the people of God. It's as simple as that.
That of course includes all sexual sin, including homosexuality. I believe we're going to see a call for a new reformation amongst Catholics, as their liberal leaders continue to betray them, and make it a dwelling place of demons, rather than an earthly representation of Jesus Christ.
This isn't going to happen quickly, but the cracks and fissures are already in place, and the liberals advancing their agenda within Catholicism. Eventually there will be a reaction, and it will test the resolve of those that really want to serve and obey God.
I believe in the decades ahead there will eventually be another split within the Catholic denomination, with conservative Catholics leaving in droves. That has already happened some, but this could happen in large sections of the church, not only individuals leaving.

Walter Lee Williams, 65, who was a former professor at USC, admitted he flew to the Philippines many times and assaulted boys who were underage.
This pathetic excuse for a human being, who will face justice when He faces the King of the universe, Jesus Christ, was an evil man teaching anti-Christian gender and sexuality studies at USC.
The homosexual pedophile used his research credentials to lie about his purpose in going to the region, which was allegedly to study sexuality in that part of the world. That should have been an easily recognizable behavior, which is a buzzword for engaging in deviant and illegal activities.
Receiving donated evil materials from the so-called professor from USC was the "ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives." They should be thoroughly investigated to see what their part in all of this may have been.
Since an attorney from USC provided the materials to the FBI, it's unclear what part ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives played in this.
Either way, Williams should have been locked up for life for the sexual abuse of these young boys. Hopefully he'll get some prison justice for his horrid abuse of them.

The cowardly HGTV network cancelled a reality TV show after an anti-Christan radical left-wing website “Right-Wing Watch,” pressured the network after writing about the two brothers and their opposition to homosexuality and abortion.
Appearing in the series would have been David and Jason Benham, who were helping people in need to acquire a home of their dreams.
Norman Lear of the despicable People of the American Way, is the force behind the corrupted Right Wing Watch.
There were several reasons given for cancelling the show, but there is no doubt their opposition to the deviant homosexual lifestyle is the catalyst behind the cancellation of the show.
While that's true, the reason this attack on their faith in Jesus Christ came at this time, is homosexuals were beaten to a pulp over the attempt to persecute Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty, who was wildly backed by the public for his opposition to homosexuals.
They knew if more Christians were presented in a positive and popular light, it would devastate their agenda, and further boost opposition to their sinful lifestyle. So now the new battlefront will be to abort the people not approving of their lifestyle before they make an impact.
All of this is to say that we as Christians must develop our own businesses and distribution networks to showcase the content we create.
I've been working on this very thing for some time, and if you have an interest in this, let me and other readers know in the comments.
It would be a good idea to stop tuning into HGTV, as it has shown it won't stand up for what is moral and right, but instead has chosen to oppose the silent majority in America. Let the silent majority turn away from HGTV to show it can't continue to do this with impunity.

Even though World Vision hastily retreated from its outrageous decision to hire 'legally married' homosexuals, it is far from convincing the organization has truly repented from its action, other than for the sake of expediency.
Some writing about the reversal even use the term "legally married gay Christians" when talking about the issue; as if you can be in a homosexual relationship and be considered a Christian. That's like saying they're going to hire adulterer Christians or murderer Christians. It's nonsensical.
By the way, there is no such thing as a legally married homosexual in the eyes of Jesus Christ. The government or judges have no authority to make laws asserting that. Only God has made that determination, and marriage is only between one man and one women.
I"m not talking here about those who have sinned and repented and turned from their sins. I'm talking about those who continually live in sin and aren't challenged to turn away from their sin.
The idea that gays are the only people in history that self-identify as a sin, doesn't excuse their rebellion against Jesus Christ. The fact that World Vision drank the gay kool aid reveals it has been infiltrated by this evil, and it needs to be expunged from the organization, or Christians need to completely stop supporting it in any way.
So when World Hunger U.S. President Richard Stearns announced in Christianity Today that the reasoning for the decision was for cross-denominational unity, it shows that Stearns and the organization are clueless as to what constitutes unity in the body of Christ. Clue: it's not the acceptance of unrepentant sinners as workers.
Also, those so-called denominations that accept those living in homosexual sin, are no longer churches, not matter what the definition given by them. Jesus talked about removing lamp stands in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, and those accepting practicing homosexuals into their leadership ranks, can no longer be considered a church as recognized by Jesus Christ.
Whoever the people were that made this decision by World Vision need to be booted out. World Vision advertises itself as a Christian organization, and so it must adhere to the Bible as its authority in all matters of life. Christians who give to these types of organizations demand and require it. This is especially true with homosexual sinners.
I will never give money to World Vision unless it publicly cleanses itself of these infiltrators, who obviously have been compromised in their faith. There is no longer any trust in its leadership, and those espousing these views must be removed, as they have forfeited their right to lead an organization alleging it represents Christ in order to extract money from believers wanting to help the poor.
Some may ask about the fact the organization reversed direction and repented of its actions. That's fine. But the point is what caused it to make the decision in the first place. This is something embedded in the agency that must be removed. That's the major issue at hand.
There are a lot of other Christian organizations that can be supported without the concern over whether or not it's going to capitulate to the gay agenda.

Hollywood, GLAAD, and businesses continue to underestimate the pent-up anger of Christians in America over the decades-old attack on Jesus Christ the Lord and our faith in Him.
That came to a head when family patriarch Phil Robertson of the Duck Dynasty clan was brutally attacked for correctly reiterating what the Bible teaches about homosexuality: that it is sin.
When the inevitable brutal attack began against Robertson, outrage from believers poured into those who had pushed them far enough. It appears this may be a turning point that could turn things around for American Christians.
To that end, Cracker Barrel, a restaurant chain in the United States, was bombarded with protests and threats that people would no longer go to there to eat their meals if products representing the franchise weren't put back on the shelves for sale. Cracker Barrel, thinking it has the public on its side, has quickly backtracked after the outcry against the company soared.
Businesses need to understand the tiny 2% of homosexuals in America don't represent the majority in any way, and even though media give the appearance they are powerful, it is more of an illusion than anything based in reality. This is the importance of what is happening, and why I say it could be the beginning of a turnaround in the acceptance of attacks on Christian believers in America.
It won't happen immediately and quickly, but I think we'll start to see more boldness from Christians in telling Hollywood and businesses they won't be telling us what we believe and how we can express it.
Here's what Cracker Barrel said in a statement:
"Dear Cracker Barrel Customer:
When we made the decision to remove and evaluate certain Duck Dynasty items, we offended many of our loyal customers. Our intent was to avoid offending, but that's just what we've done.
You told us we made a mistake. And, you weren't shy about it. You wrote, you called and you took to social media to express your thoughts and feelings. You flat out told us we were wrong.
We listened.
Today, we are putting all our Duck Dynasty products back in our stores.
And, we apologize for offending you.
We respect all individuals right to express their beliefs. We certainly did not mean to have anyone think different.
We sincerely hope you will continue to be part of our Cracker Barrel family."
Now that Cracker Barrel repented from its actions, Christians should support the company, as they've done the right thing. Of course the long-term support should be determined by the restaurant continuing to do the right thing.
Let this be a terrific example of Christians sticking together and telling this culture what it is Jesus Christ expects, and not being afraid to express it.

The abusive and anti-Christian self-appointed defenders of sinful lifestyles opposed by Jesus Christ - the GLAAD organization - is now under pressure as people from all over blast the intolerant group for attacking Phil Robertson because of His godly opposition to the homosexual lifestyle, rightly identifying it as sin.
There is a growing backlash against the verbally violent organization, as Christians, and many others, are tired of the brutish, outrageous attacks it employs as a means of suffocating and destroying the views and lives of those that oppose the wickedness they represent.
Even the organization itself admits it has never experienced the type of outrage from people tired of the destructive antics of the group.
It is finally realizing it is in a real culture war, but a culture that is based upon the person of Jesus Christ, who created the human race male and female, and only allows that to be the standard of sexuality; as long as it is within the confines of marriage. There in fact can't be such a thing as gay marriage, because the sin of homosexuality is forbidden by Jesus Christ in the first place.
To show the arrogance, presumption, and cluelessness of GLAAD and A&E, vice GLAAD president of communications Rich Ferraro said he talked with representatives of A&E in an alleged attempt to figure out why so many people despised the attacks on Robinson.
I'll let you know GLAAD. It's because we are one with him, and an attack on him is an attack on us. It's also the unfolding realization that there has never been a good-faith attempt by Christ-haters to truly respect people that believe in and obey Jesus Christ.
We are increasingly understanding that this is nothing less than a war to eradicate those who truly follow Jesus, and who won't back down to others in regard to His commands to us. This is what you're experience GLAAD, and it's only the beginning. It will get much worse for you, and you'll start tasting of the first fruits of defeat that all enemies of Christ will have to endure.
Fellow Christians, don't back down, don't waver, don't cave in, and don't believe them. This is a war that has been going on since Satan tried to become like the Most High God; the only God. It's a way that has been already one by Christ, but which we must engage in to mop up our defeated enemies.
Don't listen to the smooth attempts to assuage your righteous anger. It's past time to keep them on the defensive, to call for them to repent from their sinful ways and turn to Jesus Christ, who is more than willing to forgive them for their sins.

Just look at the vicious attacks groups like GLAAD partake in to quickly get that lie out of your head. Think on it though. Homosexuals are the only people in existence that self-identify with the sin they are committing. After all, who says I was born a murderer and thus belongs to some type of interconnected murderers group? This is exactly what homosexuals have done and do.
They want us to believe they're victims of simply being born the way they are. That's of course a lie. Everyone has a choice, and those immersing themselves in the lifestyle, are attempting to force the rest of us into accepting it.
The fact that Phil Robertson wouldn't toe the homosexual line, and the wicked and evil attack on him was exposed in the public eye, confirms this is nothing but a bunch of people attempting to destroy anyone that gets in their way.
How they brutally and viciously attacked Phil Robertson, a lover of Jesus Christ, openly shows the real agenda and attitude of GLAAD and their ilk.
Christians and others watching this unfold understand that now, and GLAAD will no longer get a free ride, and neither will those homosexuals and other deviants not willing to repent of their sin.

Screeching women supporters at a so-called gay pride event, as well as physically violent males, attacked street preachers in Seattle, as you can see in the video below.
Both women and men were spewing threats and profanities before the attack on the protesters, one of whom was holding a sign calling for repentance and saying "Jesus Saves from Sin."
This was too much for these wicked people, who became extremely agitated, apparently in light of being challenged and resisted concerning their evil lifestyles.
One of the Christian protesters was repeatedly hit and kicked after being taken to the ground. Some of the women also attempted to take the sign away, while another male pushed a man holding a Bible, warning him to leave.
It only confirms the violent nature of homosexuality and those supporting it. Jesus Christ completely forbids this sin, and calling attention to it as sin and exposing the lie that a person isn't born that way will always trigger these emotion-driven, brutish people.
If you're one of those, you are called to repentance by Jesus Christ. You can be delivered from your sin and made right with God by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross so you can be saved from eternal damnation. When you call on the Lord He'll also deliver you from your sin in this life as well, setting you free from bondage.
All this violence and response confirms these people know they are sinning and supporting that sin. It's the fact of it being brought into the light that generates such hate towards Jesus Christ and believers.

It's unclear what has led to the departure of Alan Chambers from Biblical Christianity, but he has apparently collapsed under the pressure of hate groups and his own unwillingness to repent from his homosexual leanings.
Just because you have a ministry attempting to free homosexuals from their sin doesn't mean you've been freed from sin. This is one of the big problems with Christianity, as people pressure those wanting to help others into the public eye without having their own sin dealt with first.
Chambers has unfortunately just went the false and demonic post-modern way of thinking, where everything is determined by how an individual interprets just about anything. There is not truth here, and a having a conversation is simply another way of saying there will never be a meeting of minds because each person perceives their own reality, and that reality is as viable as anyone else's. That's a simplified look at post-modern thinking, but is definitely part of it.
In one of his first post-modern decisions, Chambers decided not to only apologize for what he did through Exodus International, which rightly worked to deliver homosexuals from their bondage to sin, but he also apologized for the church.
He said he wants to apologize to the gay community "for years of undue suffering and judgment at the hands of the organization and the church as a whole."
Only someone going post-modern would have the arrogance to apologize for something he has no authority whatsoever to do. The idea that Chambers thinks he represents the Church of Jesus Christ borders on being a megalomaniac.
Sickeningly he said he want "to see bridges built" between homosexuals and the church. He has no right to biblically do this because the first step towards any real conversation, as John the Baptist and Jesus both said, was to repent. Repentance is turning away from sin, so there is no way to build bridges between true believers in Jesus Christ and homosexuals until they confess and repent of their homosexual sin. At that point Jesus will step in and set them free.
To show his fallen mindset, he added this, "We've fought the culture war, and we've lost. It's time for peace." There has been no failure in the culture war from a Christian perspective, as the battle will continue until the day Jesus Christ returns. There are only those that cave in and go out to the outer court to be trampled.
The idea of making homosexuals comfortable in their sin while condemning them to an eternity in the lake of fire for refusing to repent and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the ultimate act of hatred. Homosexuality is a sin that must be repented of, and it's one that isn't determined at birth. Anyone can be saved and delivered from any sin, and just because you've struggled with same-sex attraction doesn't mean you were born that way or Jesus Christ failed you. You have to let it go and die to your self-centered ways. The cross is enough for that, and all we have to do is call out to God for deliverance and He will be there.
That and surrounding yourself with believers who will support you while you fight the good fight, knowing that God is faithful to deliver you out of all your struggles.
Just because you have a ministry attempting to free homosexuals from their sin doesn't mean you've been freed from sin. This is one of the big problems with Christianity, as people pressure those wanting to help others into the public eye without having their own sin dealt with first.
Chambers has unfortunately just went the false and demonic post-modern way of thinking, where everything is determined by how an individual interprets just about anything. There is not truth here, and a having a conversation is simply another way of saying there will never be a meeting of minds because each person perceives their own reality, and that reality is as viable as anyone else's. That's a simplified look at post-modern thinking, but is definitely part of it.
In one of his first post-modern decisions, Chambers decided not to only apologize for what he did through Exodus International, which rightly worked to deliver homosexuals from their bondage to sin, but he also apologized for the church.
He said he wants to apologize to the gay community "for years of undue suffering and judgment at the hands of the organization and the church as a whole."
Only someone going post-modern would have the arrogance to apologize for something he has no authority whatsoever to do. The idea that Chambers thinks he represents the Church of Jesus Christ borders on being a megalomaniac.
Sickeningly he said he want "to see bridges built" between homosexuals and the church. He has no right to biblically do this because the first step towards any real conversation, as John the Baptist and Jesus both said, was to repent. Repentance is turning away from sin, so there is no way to build bridges between true believers in Jesus Christ and homosexuals until they confess and repent of their homosexual sin. At that point Jesus will step in and set them free.
To show his fallen mindset, he added this, "We've fought the culture war, and we've lost. It's time for peace." There has been no failure in the culture war from a Christian perspective, as the battle will continue until the day Jesus Christ returns. There are only those that cave in and go out to the outer court to be trampled.
The idea of making homosexuals comfortable in their sin while condemning them to an eternity in the lake of fire for refusing to repent and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the ultimate act of hatred. The mainstream news outlets couldn't hide the obvious, that the majority of Americans oppose gay marriage and the gay lifestyle, as evidenced the tens of thousands of Americans supporting Chick-Fil-A by going to the stores and buying a meal in response to the media blasting the president of the company, Dan Cathy, for supporting the only legitimate marriage there is: that between one man and one woman.
There was no effective boycott of the restaurant in any manner, as Christians came out in droves to say they're with the company 100 percent in their stand against the homosexual lifestyle and the illegitimate "marriages" they're attempting to engage in.
Jesus Christ only allows marriage to be between one man and one woman, and anything else is not only illegitimate in His eyes, but sin as well.
So-called homosexual marriage isn't marriage, and even before that the lifestyle itself is condemned by Jesus Christ as perverse and not allowable.

Actor Kirk Cameron boldly and truthfully schooled Piers Morgan and his viewers on the sin of homosexuality and the attempt to redefine marriage by practioners and advocates of the destructive lifestyle.
Responding to a question on homosexuals marrying, Cameron said, "Marriage is almost as old as dirt, and it was defined in the Garden between Adam and Eve. One man, one woman for life till death do you part. So I would never attempt to try to redefine marriage. And I don't think anyone else should either."
"So do I support the idea of gay marriage? No, I don't."
The perverse organization GLAAD responded by lying with this assertion from Herndon Graddick, Senior Director of Programs, "Cameron is out of step with a growing majority of Americans … with an increasing number of states recognizing marriage equality, Americans are seeing that marriage is about committed couples who want to make a lifelong promise to take care of and be responsible for each other and that gay and lesbian couples need equal security and legal protections. That's not 'redefining' anything."
The lie is that there is a "growing majority of Americans" that support so-called "marriage equality." That's an outright lie. The vast majority of Americans oppose homosexuality and homosexual marriage. That's the facts in the matter.
As for the alleged idea that states are supporting homosexuals getting married, that's not true either. Even California residents opposed homosexual marriage, as well as people from Iowa, but activist judges their forced it on the people, not the states or the voters.

A Christian honors student was suspended at Western Hills High School in Forth Worth, Texas for saying to another student that homosexuality is wrong.
The context of the situation was freshman Dakota Ary was in German class when the discussion turned to religion and the views of Germany were concerning homosexuality.
According to Ary's attorney Matt Krause, Dakota responded saying, 'I'm a Christian and I believe being gay is wrong,'. He was just expressing his viewpoint and he did it in a very non-hostile, benign way to a friend."
Krause said his client has every right to express that view based upon his First Amendment rights.
Ary was suspended in-school for his comments when the teacher heard them, but the suspension was reversed after his mother retained legal counsel and challenged Principal James Wellman over the issue.
His mother Holly Pope said, "He is not a troublemaker or a bully of any kind. This was not out of context. This was in a discussion about religion. ... I knew this subject had come up in class before because he told me last week that the teacher had a picture of two men kissing on a wall that had pictures from across the world."
It appears the homosexual lifestyle is being imposed on the classroom, as evidenced by the inappropriate picture of the two males kissing. It's the teacher and the school which is creating the hostile environment, as the homosexual evangelists refuse to stop their marketing of the lifestyle to students across the United States and the world.
While I understand what Holly Pope asserts concerning context, it's irrelevant what the context was, as from the point of view of Jesus Christ, homosexuality is sin, and all true Christians will oppose it, as this honest and brave teenager did.

We've been talking about some of the foundations and elementary aspects of Christ lately, as some that profess to be pursuing Christ to have a closer and deeper walk with Him, abandon that which forms the foundation of our faith in Him, and end up having their faith shipwrecked because you can't throw away part of who Christ is while pursuing other aspects of Him.
In this post we're going to look at sin, as many so-called Christians or carnel Christians seem to think because of the pursuit of the deeper things of God, or in wanting to see things change to the better in Christianity, that somehow the New Testament doesn't deal with the issue of sin.
The apostles beg to differ, and below are several lists of sins from Peter, Paul and John.
The point in listing them in this post is to keep you from being conned and lied to as to what the New Testament has to say about sin after the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Keep in mind that these lists of sins were written to the Churches, and not to unbelievers.
This isn't for the purpose of dwelling on these too much, but for the purpose of occasionally reading them to understand what Christ isn't like, and if these are manifesting in your life, you need more of Christ and the cross to deal with them.
You also need to be around godly Christians in order for them to help you in your times of weakness.
The apostles never shied away from calling sin sin, and neither should we. We need to stare it right in the face and confess and admit to that which so easily besets us.
So many have attempted to make it appear as if sin no longer exists or it's not in fashion to even mention that which is in the old man which is always trying to reassert itself as alive, when Christ has taken him to the grave with Him.
Nonetheless. Don't be deceived by those attempting to make it appear as if Jesus Christ doesn't expose sin for what it is. After all, that's one of his attributes of being light in the world.
Don't call evil good and good evil as many are doing, and in reference to sin, we always need to call upon the Lord Jesus Christ together for Him to have mercy on us; not just when falling into sin, but in strengthening us to resist it.

Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

For many of us who have been outside the institutional church system for a number of years, it can be perplexing to see some of those who have seen some things concerning why that is so, turn so completely away from some of the basics of the faith because they don't understand what the emphasis of the Lord really is and why many of us have heeded this call.
Over the last eight to ten years or so, an unfortunate side effect has happened, as politically motivated socialists or progressives, have moved a lot outside of the institutional church way of doing things, but have almost completely thrown away the basics of the faith in an effort to create a new gospel which isn't so much centered on Christ, but on liberal teachings coming from radical feminism, environmentalism, immorality and socialism, among a number of other things.
Part of that has resulted in the idea that those of us outside the church system are there to promote these political agendas rather than Christ. The so-called emerging church has migrated this way, and what has been held for decades by many of us is in danger of being overshadowed by those who have an endless array of agendas that have nothing to do with Christ. We'll talk more on that in the future.
In this article I just want to remind us that even with the idea of liberty in Christ, that doesn't mean license, which is to simply be nothing much more than living by animal instincts rather than by the Spirit of the Lord.
Even though Paul was talking about liberty and salvation through grace in Galatians, in the same letter he adds this so he isn't misunderstood as he was so many times throughout his life when promoting the new birth in Christ which had been offered as a gift and new creation for those willing to call upon the name of the Lord and truly believe in Him.
Here it is in Galatians 5:16-25:
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Those of us looking for new ways to practice our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ practically in the Church need to throw away the idea that this includes some type of new morality or lax lifestyles which do nothing to honor Jesus and are not of Him.
The scriptures above confirm this in what is the first writing from the New Testament period we have.
You may attempt to get cute with what it means when Paul says those who practice such things won't enter the kingdom of God. But however you may wish to interpret that, there is great loss, and taking part in those things are deeds or works of the flesh, and don't come from Jesus or heaven.
This may seem basic to many of you, but to read and listen to those who are new to the ways of God in practicing Church life are throwing away much of that which isn't meant to be thrown away, to the point where they are in hardy agreement with how the world asserts their world view.
One example of that is the agreement and support of the homosexual lifestyle, along with even agreeing they should be allowed to marry.
Not only does no Christian have any authority to make such statements, they can be destroying those living in that sin who are given false comfort by those who should be warning them to repent, rather than settle into it.
As the scriptures also teach, we are to bring every thought into captivity to Christ. If the scriptures say it, then you need to adjust to that reality, not the other way around.
Just remember that sin is always sin, and nothing has changed that. If you're leaving the institutional church because you're living in sin and/or promoting sin, you've got a big problem, as that's not the reason Jesus Christ and the Spirit of God have been moving people to practice being the church in a different and expanded way.
Neither does it give us license to tell people it's okay to live in sin when the entirety of the scriptures from the beginning to the end say it's not so.
There are a lot of things to learn concerning the practice of the church and living in liberty in Jesus Christ. Sinning and condoning sin isn't one of those things we have to learn anything new about, as it's the same old thing it's always been, and we're not dealing with that, but the practice of the Church is what we're trying to learn and change.
Over the last eight to ten years or so, an unfortunate side effect has happened, as politically motivated socialists or progressives, have moved a lot outside of the institutional church way of doing things, but have almost completely thrown away the basics of the faith in an effort to create a new gospel which isn't so much centered on Christ, but on liberal teachings coming from radical feminism, environmentalism, immorality and socialism, among a number of other things.
Part of that has resulted in the idea that those of us outside the church system are there to promote these political agendas rather than Christ. The so-called emerging church has migrated this way, and what has been held for decades by many of us is in danger of being overshadowed by those who have an endless array of agendas that have nothing to do with Christ. We'll talk more on that in the future.

There can be nothing but admiration from Christians over the bold, brave and true remark by Miss California Carrie Prejean, who said in response to a question on what she thought about legalizing marriage between homosexuals, that she didn't believe in it, and marriage was meant to be between a man and a woman.
Prejean answered saying, "And you know what in my country, in my family I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody there, but that's how I was raised and that's how I think it should be, between a man and a woman."
Many in the audience applauded her answer, along with millions watching on the television across the world.
Of course the fading so-called mainstream media made it look like she was representing a minority of people, when indeed, the majority of Americans assert and believe marriage was meant for only a man and a woman; especially Christians.
When you see a bunch of cowardly alleged Christian leaders, who are more religious celebrities, rather than true godly men, backing away from the issue as if the Holy Scriptures had nothing to say about it through the Holy Spirit, Prejean is definitely a hero in my mind, and represents what the majority of Americans, and more importantly - Jesus Christ - believe about the issue.

I am officially announcing the death of the so-called "emerging" church.
When you have people so influenced and embedded in the world, it's impossible for them to do anything that Jesus Christ could partake in with them.
That's the case with Tony Jones, alleged "church" leader amongst this nebulous confederation of dunces.
Just so those reading don't misunderstand where I'm coming from, I've been outside the institutional church system since 1976, and I've pursued an organic expression of Christ within His people since that time.
So this isn't a rant based upon a secret agenda trying to bring down those outside the particular forms of organized, institutional Christianity.
Rather, it's a rant on those infiltrating those of us who have worked for decades - and many before our time - and pretending to be part of something new that Christ is doing in His people.
There is no honest lover of Christ who could say He doesn't condemn homosexuality explicitly. There's no unsurety in the Old or New Testament concerning these actions.
But according to Jones, "... I now believe that GLBTQ ("gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual and queer") can live lives in accord with biblical Christianity (at least as much as any of us can!) and that their monogamy can and should be sanctioned and blessed by church and state."
While I, and many others outside the organized church have never identified themselves with what is called the "emerging" church, those that do now have an obligation to censure and challenge this nut job for his attack upon Christ.
To say that the church should bless homosexuals in any way is a break with Christ and His people, and needs to be responded to in that way. To allow this type of wicked comment to go unchallenged and this guy to be embraced in the name of "tolerance" is unacceptable.
This is nothing other than what are called politically: "progressives," who are attempting to infiltrate our society and turn it into their own image, which is completely secular. One of the targets of their attacks is the unfounded young people who are always seeking for something different at a young age, and so are susceptible to this type of silly, idiotic rhetoric.
Wrapping the name of Christ around such a hideous assertion is to totally misrepresent who Christ is and what He's said.
Jesus Christ is after a bride, not a groom, and the idea that those of us who are the counterpart of Christ as His bride, should now "bless" this abhorrent lifestyle and opposite of what God wants, is an abomination to even present as viable.
If this man isn't disciplined, those who are in that position are sanctioning his assertions and so are sinning with him.
There are a lot of things those of us outside the institutional church want changed. Turning against Christ and saying the sin of homosexuality should be literally "blessed" in the words of Jones, isn't one of them.
It does make you wonder if he's a closet homosexual operating under the guise of neutrality.
This is so opposite of who Christ is, the Scriptures, and the practice of believers since the beginning of the revelation of God to man, that it can't even be taken seriously by true believers in Christ.
What people like this Jones do is ride the newest idol of "tolerance," and use it to offer up their bizarre and ungodly doctrines in the name of that tolerance, in order to push their ideas into the minds of those silly and unlearned people.
Of course, as we've seen over and over again, once the tolerant gain what they think of as the upper hand, all tolerance is thrown out the window, and those that disagree with them are warned that they better not contradict what they say and how they live.
It's an old game, and Jones is playing it all out again. If those in the so-called emerging church want to have a chance to really make a difference for Christ, they need to stop these screwballs from using their platforms to spew their poison.
Even at this time the chances of these types of churches surviving as something for Christ is just about nill. To add this type of garbage to it will only hasten their demise. If this is the way they're choosing to go, may it happen quickly.
